How do you convert one cryptocurrency to another, like BTC to ETH?
Direct crypto-to-crypto conversion works by routing both coins through US dollars as a common pivot. The converter first multiplies your amount by the source coin's USD price to find its dollar value, then divides that figure by the destination coin's USD price. For example, with BTC at 67,000 and ETH at 3,500, one Bitcoin equals 67,000 dollars, which divided by 3,500 gives roughly 19.14 ETH. Because every one of the 25 supported assets is priced in USD, any pair converts the same way without needing a separate rate for each combination. Results show up to eight decimal places so small fractions of high-value coins are not lost to rounding. Pick your from and to coins, enter an amount, and the tool computes both directional rates instantly.
Why do my conversion results look outdated or wrong?
The numbers reflect the reference prices stored in the Price Sheet, not a live feed. The tool ships with ballpark 2024 rates (for instance BTC at 67,000 and ETH at 3,500), so if the real market has moved, your results will be stale until you update those values yourself. There are no API calls, which is what keeps the converter fast, private, and usable offline, but it also means accuracy is entirely in your hands. To fix outdated output, open the Price Sheet panel, paste current prices from an exchange into the Crypto (USD) tab and current exchange rates into the Fiat (per USD) tab, then click Save Rates. Your edits persist via localStorage with a Last updated timestamp. Refresh the rates whenever you need figures you can rely on.
How are fiat currencies like EUR and JPY converted against the dollar?
Each fiat currency is stored as a per-USD rate, meaning how many units equal one US dollar. The default EUR rate is 0.92 and JPY is 153, so one dollar buys 0.92 euros or 153 yen. To convert a fiat amount to dollars the tool divides by that rate, and to convert from dollars it multiplies. Converting euros to yen routes through the dollar: divide the euro amount by 0.92 to get dollars, then multiply by 153 to get yen. USD itself is locked at a rate of 1 because it is the pivot every conversion passes through. You can edit any per-USD value in the Fiat tab of the Price Sheet to match your bank or broker. Enter an amount, choose your two currencies, and both exchange rates appear alongside the result.
Can I save the conversion and the exchange rates I used for my records?
Yes. Two export options keep your figures portable. The Copy button places the conversion and both directional rates on your clipboard as plain text, ready to paste into a note or message. The Download CSV button saves a spreadsheet that records the conversion, the rate in each direction, and the entire price sheet behind it, every crypto USD price and every fiat per-USD rate. Capturing the price sheet matters because the rates are manual, so the CSV archives the exact assumptions a calculation was based on, which is useful for tracking a portfolio over time or documenting a trade. Your saved rates also persist between visits through your browser's local storage. Set your prices, run the conversion, then click Download CSV to keep a dated snapshot of both the result and the assumptions.
What is the fastest way to see one amount across several currencies at once?
Use the Conversion Matrix shown below the main result. Instead of running each pair one at a time, it expresses your single input amount across the top five coins and the top five fiats simultaneously, so you can see a holding in dollars, euros, and pounds side by side at a glance. It is built for sanity-checking cross-market pricing, such as confirming a position looks reasonable in multiple home currencies before acting. The matrix uses the same Price Sheet values as the main conversion, so updating your rates refreshes the grid too. Quick controls speed things up further: Swap flips the from and to pair, Sample loads a 0.5 ETH to EUR example, and Reset returns to 1 BTC to USD. Enter an amount once and read the matrix to compare every major market together.

About the Cryptocurrency Converter
The Cryptocurrency Converter turns any amount of one asset into its equivalent in another, across 15 cryptocurrencies and 10 major fiat currencies. Enter an amount, pick a "from" and a "to" asset, and the result appears instantly along with both exchange rates — how much one unit of the source is worth in the target, and the reverse. It is built for traders sizing a position, hodlers checking portfolio value in their home currency, and anyone who just needs to know what 0.5 ETH is worth in euros without opening a trading app.
One thing to understand up front: this converter does not pull live market prices. It ships with ballpark 2024 reference rates that you control. That design keeps it fast, private, and fully usable offline — but it means the numbers are only as current as the prices you set.
How conversion works
Every conversion routes through US dollars as a common pivot, so any of the 25 assets can convert to any other:
- Crypto to USD multiplies your amount by that coin's USD price.
- Fiat to USD divides by that currency's "units per USD" rate.
- USD to the target then applies the destination coin's price or the destination fiat's per-USD rate.
The supported cryptocurrencies are BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, BNB, XRP, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, MATIC, DOT, LTC, LINK, and UNI. The fiats are USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, INR, CNY, CAD, AUD, CHF, and BRL. Results are shown to up to eight decimal places, which matters for low-value coins where rounding to two places would hide most of the amount.
The editable price sheet
Because there is no API, accuracy lives in the Price Sheet panel. It has two tabs:
- Crypto (USD) — the dollar price of one coin (for example, the default BTC price is 67,000).
- Fiat (per USD) — how many units of each currency equal one US dollar (the default EUR rate is 0.92, JPY is 153). USD is locked at 1 since it is the pivot.
Override any value, then click Save Rates to persist your edits in the browser via localStorage, with a "Last updated" timestamp so you know how stale the sheet is. The Defaults button restores the original reference prices. To keep the converter meaningful, paste in current rates from an exchange or your bank before relying on the output for anything real.
Conversion matrix and exports
Below the main result, a Conversion Matrix shows your input amount expressed across the top 5 coins and top 5 fiats at once — a fast sanity check for cross-market pricing when you want to see, say, what a holding looks like in dollars, euros, and pounds side by side rather than running each pair manually.
Two output options make the numbers portable. Copy puts the conversion and both directional rates on your clipboard as plain text. Download CSV saves a spreadsheet that includes the conversion, the rate in each direction, and the full price sheet — every crypto USD price and every fiat per-USD rate — so you can archive the assumptions behind a calculation. Quick controls round it out: Swap flips the from/to pair, Sample loads a 0.5 ETH to EUR example, and Reset returns to 1 BTC to USD.
Privacy and offline use
The Cryptocurrency Converter runs entirely in your browser. There are no API keys, no network calls, and no server — your amounts and your custom rates never leave your device, and the only thing stored is your own saved price sheet in local storage. There is no sign-up and no usage limit, and once the page has loaded it keeps working without a connection. Just remember the trade-off behind that privacy: rates are manual, so treat the figures as estimates based on whatever prices you have entered, not as a live quote.
